Former UP CM’s Mortal Remains Being Taken To Atrauli From Aligarh



The last rites of the former UP Chief Minister Kalyan Singh will be held on Monday at the banks of river Ganga in Narora. He passed away on Saturday due to a prolonged illness. 
BJP leaders were at his residence in Lucknow on Sunday to pay their respects.

Kalyan Singh’s mortal remains will be taken to Atrauli by road from Ahilyabai Holkar Stadium in Aligarh at 9 am today. The remains will be kept for at least 2 hours at PWD Guest House in Atrauli.
Home Minister Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Smriti Irani, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Yogi Adityanath, Keshav Prasad Maurya, and other central leaders will pay their last respects at PWD Guest House in Atrauli.
From there the body will be taken to Bansi Ghat in Narora where the last rites will be performed at 3 pm.
Kalyan Singh breathed his last aged 89 at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow on Saturday night. He was admitted to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) earlier on July 4 due to an infection and reduced consciousness level.
It was reported that the former UP Chief Minister died due to sepsis and multi-organ failure.
Uttar Pradesh announced three-day mourning and a holiday on Monday when his last rites are to be performed.
